Hi, I’m Renee — owner of Brand Eyewear and your expert Dispensing Optician.
My Optical journey began in South Africa, where I qualified as an Optometrist in 1996. Very quickly, I discovered that what I loved most wasn’t the clinical room—it was being on the shopfloor, connecting with people and helping them find eyewear that made them feel great. That realisation shaped the rest of my career.
In 2008, I qualified as a Dispensing Optician, and since then I’ve spent 35 years working across Independent Practices, Domiciliary care for those who can’t get to an Optical store, and large multiple Optical groups. Seeing Optical care from every angle has given me a unique understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and what customers truly value.
That’s why I created a Dispensing‑Only Optical store: a place where people can enjoy great quality branded eyewear without the inflated price tag. I’m naturally outgoing and friendly, and I love solving Optical challenges—big or small. Most of all, I’m passionate about eyewear and the confidence it can bring.
